An heirloom variety, introduced more than 80 years ago. Bright red flowers are 10cm (4”) in diameter and 90cm (3’) high. Great for cottage gardens and mass plantings. Sow seed in a light well-drained soil 1 /4” deep. Ensure that soil is warm. Can be started indoors 6 weeks before the last frost date. Powdery mildew resistant.
