This stunning celery is an 18th century English cultivar. Very hardy and delicious. Imagine it on a crudite plate. Raw or cooked, where it retains it's colour, it will please your palate. Stalks are smaller than the green varieties. Dig a trench and plant seeds as soon as soil can be worked. Fill in with some the soil gradually as plants grow to encourage more tender stalks. Plant prefers sun, richly manured soil and frequent watering. Sow in spring. 90-130 days. Heirloom. Germination 0.1 g/Approx. 300 seeds.
