Originally grown in West Virginia, this heirloom was one of the parent lines for another much loved heirloom: the legendary Mortgage Lifter. It has pinkish-red skin and nearly seedless meaty, mild flesh, the large, lobed fruits weigh 350-675g (3/4-1 1/2 lb). A favorite variety for slicing or canning. Disease-resistant, indeterminate vines thrive in hot, humid areas. Potato leaved.
