Vicia faba. Tall upright, non-branching plants grow to 90-120cm (3-4'). Dark green leaved plants have white flowers with black markings, which give way to light green pods containing 6-7 seeds each. The beans are an early, high protein food. Delicious fresh and can be dried for winter use. Direct sow in Oct./Nov. in mild winter areas and Feb-May in other areas. We plant ours in early April in Ontario. 75-85 days. Full Sun.19g/approx 60 seeds.
