Organic Quinoa Red Head

This variety was selected by renowned seed breeder Frank Morton.  It is a sturdy high yielding strain with bright pinkish red seed heads and white seeds. The leaves are very tasty and withstand heat so make a great summer green. Seeds are protein rich and easy to harvest.

Selected to withstand some rain at maturity without seed sprouting in the head, an important new trait in quinoa for North America. Grown in South America for over 3000 years but this variety will be an heirloom of the future.
