Another type of oakleaf; bright green large rosettes of deeply lobed leaves with a delicate mild flavour. Slow to bolt and not bitter in the heat (although we recommend lettuces as a spring and fall crop).
Sow seeds in early spring as soon as the soil can be worked. Continue to sow about every 3 weeks or harvest outer leaves when a few inches in height. Seeds should not be buried deeply, but lightly raked into the soil. Ideal sowing is one seed every 7 cm squared, but many people sow seeds more thickly and thin after germination. When harvesting, leave a few new leaves to encourage new growth and future harvests; or harvest as full heads. 28 days baby, 50 days full size. 0.4g/Approx. 350 seeds
