A mild-tasting, creamy bean from France, most commonly eaten as a 'shelly' bean, or right before the pods dry out and are fully ripe. Excellent for any soup or stew, particularly the classic cassoulet, it is sometimes known as "the caviar of beans"!
Plant after all danger of frost has passed, and don't soak them before you plant - while you can soak pole beans, bush beans will just rot. 78 days to fresh shelly stage, 90-95 to maturity. Heirloom.
