Basella rubra

This is one of the most beautiful vegetables we have ever grown. A vining vegetable, it climbs to about 360 cm (12 feet). Dark green leaves with purple undersides; purple/red stems and pink flowers. All edible. The seeds are enclosed in a purple fruit.

Very fast growing and as ornamental as it is tasty. Seeds must be in very warm soil (we use a heat mat) to germinate. Heirloom. 40 days 30 seeds
