Welsh onions are a large onion often also called scallions but these are a hardy biennial that will bloom the following summer if left to overwinter. They bloom the following year with creamy white, ornamental flowers much loved by bees. Sow March to May and harvest July till the ground freezes. 50cm (18") tall. Hardy to zone 4
