While rated as a mild pepper (10 000-23 000 SHU), we often find them much spicier! The dried and ground peppers have a rich fruity, smoky flavour.  Plants grow to about 60-90cm (2-3 feet) tall. We dry ours and grind them - if you want to be try a traditional recipe, let them dry in the sun, then mix with some sea salt and olive oil!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStart peppers indoors 8-10 weeks before last frost. Tip: soak your peppers in warm water for a few hours before planting! Plant 1\/2-1 cm (1\/4”-1\/2”) deep in flats and germinate at 30 degrees C.
